Our Story

Schubert’s Hartford Theatre has been owned and operated by the Schubert Family since 2009. Bill and Nancy Schubert met in 1981 while both working at a cinema in Menomonee Falls. Love blossomed and in 1991 they married, later having three children, Brittney, Matthew, and Nathan, all of whom contribute to the operations of the Hartford Theatre. They currently reside in West Bend, Wisconsin.

The Schubert’s have been a part of the movie theatre industry since 1981 with the dream of one day obtaining a theatre of their own. In late October of 2009, Schubert Theatres Incorporated closed on the purchase of the Hartford Theatre and a couple weeks later, it reopened for business.

Since the reopening, Schubert Theatres have invested over $600,000 in the facility to ensure a quality movie going experience. These improvements include state of the art digital projectors and sound processors, new seats in 5 of the 6 auditoriums, additional service stations to ensure better customer service, repairs to the parking lot area, and upgrades and repairs to the heating and ventilation systems. Their goal is to continue to update and improve the theatre where it is needed so that the Hartford Theatre can reach its full potential.

Schubert Theatres is a family owned and operated business determined to provide you with the best movie going experience possible, featuring exceptional customer service, professional film presentation, a large assortment of quality concession items, all at an affordable price.

Schubert Theatres Incorporated is invested in your entertainment future!
